This did tickle me though. I took it this morning.
Today we made a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America. We received a post card in the mail about setting up a pick up... and thought... why not? It was so easy to set up. You just go to the pickup site, type in your zip code, and they tell you when a pick up is scheduled for your area and you sign up. Then you put your stuff outside and they come pick it up. Simple.
Well, signing up was simple. Finding 3 bags of clothes, 1 bag of shoes, a pair of old glasses (I haven't worn glasses since college) an old walking toy, a stroller we never used and a few other odds and ends... that was simple. Putting it all out on our step was simple.
Trying to explain to Zoe why it was outside while she screamed "OH NO, MY STROLLER, MY STROLLER, OH NO, MY TOY, OH NO"... that was not simple.
The only thing that saved our day was this umbrella stroller that is an "extra" (in addition to the extra stroller we donated). You all have one of those right? An umbrella stroller just laying around. Anyway, it saved me. I pulled it out. I had to push her around the house in it for a while. Then she refused to get out of it (maybe for fear it would end up outside with the other one?). So there she sat.

Oh, no. My girls would have done the same thing. That's why I do those thing while they are sleeping. ;-)
Oh, that is very cute and I can see she is very protective. She's giving you a, "No, you don't Mommy!" look. ;)
I usually donate to a place that does a similar, go online and schedule a pick up thing. Much easier than loading everything in the car and going to Goodwill.
HA! That's hilarious. And I love that Zoe is coordinated enough to eat, snuggle with a blanket AND hold a baby...all the while NOT looking at what she's doing!
Oh, how sweet, I wasn't too unlike her when I was young! I also those things when he is sleeping or out with daddy.
But sometimes he finds the stuff before it's out of the house.

LOL! I have a similar post in the works, about long-forgotten toys becoming favorites again as soon as I decide to get rid of them!
We have a charity that comes by once a month to pick up. Makes it so easy. Except most of the time I use Freecycle these days.
Ha ha ha! I think that all kids are like that -- the other day I saw a little girl screaming her head off (for over 30 minutes) because she didn't want to give away her coat that was too small!
Yep...only donate and make trips to Goodwill when the girls are not looking!
We have the same stroller...and it has sat in front of our tv before, too!
