I've been feeling terribly lazy lately. If it were just me I'd ride out the lazy feeling. But, Zoe has to deal with it too... and then I feel guilty.
So this morning... spur of the moment... we went to Imagine That! It's a "children's hands-on learning museum". I had been there numerous times on school and camp field trips, and also when I was a nanny. It's a fun place. This was Zoe's first time. She LOVED it.
She enjoyed the pirate ship, the sandbox, music area, large vehicles (a real airplane, car, firetruck and motorcycle) art and blocks. She wasn't at all interested in the post office, doctor's office, dentist office, grocery store or computers (which would have been surprising if the programs hadn't been from 1991!!! Talk about needing to upgrade!). Her absolute favorite by far was the dance studio... complete with tutu and tap shoes. It looks like the parent/child Tiny Tippy Toes class just isn't cutting it. She's ready for some real tap and ballet.
The only way it could have been more fun would be to have someone else come with us. Zoe wanted to join right into the group that was their on a field trip... and said "hi" to every kid that played in the same area she was in. It's only so fun to play with just Mommy. Next time we go I'm really hoping to bring a friend. (Anybody interested???)

I would join you in a heartbeat if distance weren't an issue......really, I would! :) Nice video and I like that song! donna g
What a great idea! We went a few years ago when my youngest was still an infant, but I bet they'd both love it now. I'd meet you there sometime for sure . . .we have a long winter ahead of us trying to keep the kiddos happy and busy.
It looks like great fun, we went to a sciene place a few months back and Rebecca loved it. But that place looks great
We had an Imagine That in Maryland that I took Pineapple too and it sounds like it is just the same. I miss those places. Zoe looks like she had lots of fun!
Wow, that sounds like an awesome place!
*waving hand wildly in the air* Me, me, me! I'm interested! M and I will fly up for a day (when I win the lottery and we can actually afford to travel!).
How fun!!!! I can't wait to take M to some of the places that I've taken other people's kids.
Wow . . . looks like a lot of fun. We have the Oil and Gas Museum. I can't wait to go *sarcasm*.
As for lazy, I hear you. With a nearly 4-month-old and major insomnia, thus major sleep deprivation, it takes everything in me to be the bubbly, happy, active mommy. Thank goodness I can still entertain him by sticking out my tongue and rolling my eyes!
Wow, that looks like such a fun place. Count us in! Just give us a few days notice for travel. :-)
Yes, yes, me, me !!! Oh that's right. My daughter's now 12 and I live 12,000 miles away.... ;-(
I Sooooooo remember these places. We used to go with two or three other kids (all boys) and the BA would eat it alive. This place looks PARTICULARLY good.
wish we weren't so far away...we would totally love to join you guys for a trip there! That place looks great! Yep, looks like Zoe's ready for some dance lessons!
