Trick or Treat!

Halloween was a success! Yippee!

Zoe was excited and enjoyed trick or treating... thanks in part to her cousins coming to go out with her. It also helped that this year she actually likes candy.

All dressed up and ready to go. Zoe is a spider, Larisa is a fairy princess, and Alex is a dragon (who roared at EVERY house!).
Nina was the cutest sunflower around.
Before we even got started trick or treating Zoe was munching on a lollypop. (I had to do something to get her to stand still and smile for a picture or 2!!!)
Last year we only made it to 3 houses before Zoe was done. This year we made it up and down 2 streets... I'd say about 20 houses. Zoe was very excited every time someone dropped a goodie into her bag. She probably got out a "TRICK OR TREAT!" at half of the houses... but as we walked away from each door she would yell a huge "THANK YOU!!!"
We came home with a pretty good collection of loot. (As I sit here I wonder what treat I might like to sneak out of her bag.)
After Zoe was done munching on a few pieces of candy she was quite yummy to give smooches to.
Zoe seemed to like handing out candy almost as much as being given candy. She was thrilled to help answer the door and greet trick or treaters. They couldn't come fast enough... and a few times she stood by the door just watching and waiting.
104 trick or treaters later (yes 104... one hundred and four!) we turned out our lights and shut the door. Zoe went to bed and was asleep in record time. I guess the exhaustion won out over the sugar.

So... a success.

I wonder what we should dress Zoe up as next year?

M was a flamingo this year.

Zoe's costume is ADORABLE. We skipped Trick or Treating and did a church thing this year. In our community, there is one neighborhood that has a HUGE trick-or-treating thing, but most of the rest of us don't do much. I wish we did, though. I'd LOVE to see 104 trick or treaters!

I'm joining you in blogging every day for a month. I need to click on your button and check out the hosting site. Anyway, we can read each other every day.

The kids are so cute. Zoe is a precious spider...fun shots. Liking candy goes a long way toward liking trick or treating. She definitely looks as though she enjoyed.

Yep, I'd say it sounds like a successful evening alright! Zoe's spider costume is adorable! well, so are the cousins! Wow, you got a lot of T-or-Ters! I didn't count, but I'd guess we had about 50-60

Shhh...I've been raiding my girl's goody bag, too. :o)

Next year Zoe will be telling you what she wants to be. I love the spider! Did you make it? So adorable. Looks like Halloween was a hit.

I LOVE Zoe's spider costume- too cute! My son wore the same dragon costume as Alex, although he would not put on the head!

Isn't it so much fun to go trick or treating now that they understand the concept??

Stunning costumes! I wish we lived in a complex still so I could take the boys out, but it's too dangerous in the suburbs here.

Finally catching up. Trying to update my blog today too. Zoe was adorable. I can't believe you had 104 trick-or-treaters. We went to a church party for a little while, but had no visitors when we returned, and we live in a pretty big neighborhood.
