Florida in January - It isn't too cold to swim!

When we were in Florida in January it was COLD. Yes, I know it was winter. But it was Florida. It's not supposed to be in the 30s. It's just not. It was killing Zoe to be so close to a swimming pool and not be able to get in. Finally... the sun was shining and we had a day in the high 60s. Zoe immediately decided she NEEDED to swim. The water was still frigid... but I was not going to fight with her. If I didn't let her go swimming she was never going to stop asking to swim. You all know how that is. So... I told her she could go in.

It's not cold Mommy!!!!!
It's not cold!!
Um... it's not cold.
Weeee!!!
Um... it might be a little cold.
cold cold cold cold cold
I'm done swimming Mommy!

Lemme guess - this entire series lasted about 2 minutes!

It seems unfair when you go to Florida and it's cold. Seems like you should get a "do over."

How funny! Gabriel keeps asking me when our neighborhood pool is opening so he can swim, but our nights are still in the 40s, so obviously it will be cold.

Zoe loves her swim lessons at the Y. Since it's inside we can swim all year long. She cannot wait to get to Florida to get in PopPop's pool again.

I can not wait until the water gets warmer and I can put Emma into the pool. I brought her to my parents last year and put her into the water but she was too young to understand. She was only around five months. Now that she's older she loves the bath tube so I can't IMAGINE what she'll think of the pool. YAY!! so excited. lol

I've been taking Zoe "swimming" since she was 6 months old. We did the parent child class at the YMCA. She has always loved the water... and it always excited her. Totally splashing and kicking and soaking everyone around her.

Now I've started taking Ana. She also loves the water... but in a totally different way. She acts more like she's at the spa. She just lays back and lets me float her around. No kicking. No splashing. Just a day at the spa.
