How is that possible??? My teeny tiny Ana Banana is 9 months old. And she's not a teeny tiny 9 month old... she's a big chunka-monka 9 month old. A healthy chubby cherub if I ever saw one. Oh... the rolls and the Buddha belly.

Some 9 month stats...
Weight - 21 pounds 15 ounces (Zoe was 17lbs 10oz @ 9m)
Length - 29 inches (Zoe was 28in @ 9m)
Size - 12 months. (I think Ana heard all my joy at being about to use ALL of Zoe's hand-me-downs since they were both summer babies and decided she would have none of that. She wants her own new clothes. So... most of Zoe's are going to waste. She outgrows them before we get to the season. Sniffle sniffle.)
Sleep - Ana LOVES sleep. She's goes in her crib at about 8pm and sleeps straight through until about 7am. Then she naps from about 9:30/10 until about 12. And then... she naps from about 1:30/2 until about 4. The girl loves her crib. Ana is proof that sleep helps you grow.
Food - Ana eats anything you put in front of her (obviously). She ate any baby food (fruit/veggie/dinner mix... whatever). And now... she eats "real people food" with great excitement. Her favorite thing to eat seems to be whatever we're eating. The other night she even ate steak and noodles. Last night she ate chicken, noodles and peas. And ice cream... ice cream puts her into a frenzy. The girl loves to eat.
So... that's Ana... sleeping, eating and growing.

If I had to choose one word to describe Ana.... HAPPY. She is one happy baby. There are very few things that cause Ana to cry. She cries when she's hungry or wants a bottle. She cries when she's tired. She cries when she has a poopy diaper. Sometimes she cries for strangers or crowds. She screams for certain dogs. It seems Ana is afraid of dogs. Not just nervous or scared. TERRIFIED. Otherwise... Ana is a happy cooing babbling raspberry blowing baby. And she has this laugh... this infectious giggling belly laugh.
Another thing about Ana... she is a stickler for her schedule. Generally she doesn't get beyond a little whining because when she gets a bit fussy I just look at the clock. She wants to have her bottle at the same time daily, sleep at the same time daily, eat at the same time daily. Stay with her schedule and she is the happiest most easy-going baby on earth. She gets quite mad... frustrated... almost annoyed... when you don't realize what time it is.

One things she's not doing... moving. She will sit in one place for what seems like hours. You plop her down and give her some toys and she's a happy camper. She's also happy laying on her belly or her back. She regularly rolls from her belly to her back and I have seen her roll from her back to her belly exactly 2 times. She's like a turtle... when she rolls onto her back it's like she's stuck. She loves sitting. She loves spinning in her exersaucer. She loves jumping in her doorway jumper. No crawling. No scooting. No pulling up. If you hold her hands she will stand... but she won't move her feet even an inch. Ana is a stationary being right now. For now... I'm OK with that. I dread baby-proofing Zoe's stuff. (Zoe is a collector of things. Rocks, buttons, coins. Talk about choking hazard dangers.)

There is one time she does do a lot of moving. She will not stay still while being held. She is a wiggle worm. Whether you are sitting or standing while holding her she wants to be all over the place. She needs to see everything going on. She wants to turn her head in every direction. She wants to face in. She wants to face out. She wants to bounce. She wants to touch everything. It is exhausting to hold her sometimes. Wiggle worm I tell you.

That's Ana. Happy, easy-going, smiling and giggling. Oh... and the non-stop raspberry blowing.
I could go on and on. 9 months old and already there is so much to tell. I will just leave it by saying I am one happy Mommy.

Ana is adorable and so big! THAT'S GREAT!! LOVE the pictures!
Addison is the SAME way with dogs...absolutely terrified! I'm convinced it's because she's so smart and knows that dogs can be dangerous. We've been talking about getting one and the big ones REALLY freak her out but we're warming to the little ones! It has definitely gotten better!!
In one photo I'll think " Wow she looks so much like Nick." and then in the next I'll think "No she looks more like Colleen!" Either way, she's adorable.
SO cute!!! :) They grow up so fast! :-D
She is just PRECIOUS. Rolls and all. Both of my girls had rolls and I miss them!
Of course she's happy. She is adorable and has a mommy and daddy and big sister that adore her. Wonderful pictures. She sure is growing fast.

What a darling she is! And I can see just how happy she must be -- she must know what a lucky girl she is!

I am just dropping my from EC. What a sweet little girl you have there! 9 months is such a fun age! My son didn't crawl until about 9 1/2 months. I kept pusing it, but I have to say life was a lot easier before he started moving. He is now 20 months and is into everything!
she's gorgeous!! I love her smile, she does indeed look very happy

She's beautiful!
No kidding - how DID that happen that she's 3/4 of a year old already?! Sheesh. She's such a roly poly little doll. You really hit the jackpot with her, huh!?

It was a little surprising the first time she freaked out about a dog. I was a mean mommy that day. I had to test it out a few times. She'd calm down and I'd think "there's no way that dog freaked her out" and I'd put here near the dog again. The third time... it wasn't really necessary. I just couldn't stop myself. Poor baby.

I think Zoe looks more like me than Ana does.... but when I look at baby photos of myself I can see some of Ana too. Nick thinks Ana definitely looks like his baby pictures. I'll have to find some Nick baby shots to post.

I am enjoying her love of sitting still. I think she's going to be a little trouble maker when she starts to move!

We are truly lucky with Ana. She eats well... sleeps well... travels well. She almost makes me think I might like just 1 more. Then I shake my head and pull my sanity back and realize 2 is enough! lol
