Sesame Street Live in NYC

Forever and a day ago (OK... it was in the beginning of February.) I won tickets to see Sesame Street Live from Mamanista. It was a very rushed spontaneous day trip. I think I won the tickets on a Monday or Tuesday and then we were off to NYC on Friday. (Thank goodness it happened to be a Friday that Nick had off!)

Like most activities involving huge fuzzy monsters... there was excitement. (There was also some yawning... since for some reason these shows are always during nap time.)
Ana had no clue what was going on... but she's pretty good about going with the flow. (I can't believe she's already been to see 2 shows in NYC already.)
Woo Hoo!!! Free tickets to see Elmo!!!! (Oh... $5 popcorn. $4 bottle of water.)
Oh look! A swirly glowing Elmo thing! ($15)
I think Zoe would like to get up there and sing and dance with her furry pals a little bit.
Hi Elmo!
I'm still not quite sure who that woman was. I like to pretend it was Gina.
Bye! Thanks for coming today!
Balloons! Woo Hoo! Yeah! ($10) We also bought a t-shirt that Zoe will wear now... and Ana will wear later ($18).

So... yippee! Sesame Street Live. I have always always always wanted to see Sesame Street Live. And now... we've all been to see Sesame Street Live. I think the show is better when the tickets are free. Because the tickets were free we were a little more lenient about buying goodies. So... our free show wasn't EXACTLY free (we spent about eleventy billion dollars). But... it was fun.

(Oh, and mumble mumble mumble... we paid the tolls to come through the tunnel there and back. Oh, and we paid for parking. Oh, and um... we had lunch.)

So... our free show wasn't EXACTLY free (we spent about eleventy billion dollars). But... it was fun. I'd go again (but I might have to get someone to go with me... because Nick may have met his quota of furry monster shows).

Oh Wow! Congrats on winning the tickets - what a fun outing for two precious girls! Looks like you all had a good time, and well done to Hubby for going along and enjoying too! :)

So fun! I remember going to see Sesame Street Live every year when I was little -- I haven't been in years, but I am willing to bet that it hasn't changed too much.... :)

SO fun!!! My inlaws took the nieces to see it, and said it was fantastic! Looks like it was quite the occasion...even if it wasn't free. :)

We also spent just about eleventy billion dollars when we went and saw Monsters Inc. on Ice and Princesses on Ice. Both were crowded and smelly and both shows made both of my kids cry and cower in fear. We're planning on going to the Dino Experience next so wish me luck!

Looks like a wonderful time was had by all,and yes there is a limit upon the number of fluffies that adults have to endure in any one years.

Looks like a fun day out for the girls. You are a better mom than I. I've limited field trips to the bank and grocery store. There are quite a few hairy humans that are monster like in both of those places.

I never went until now. I have to say... I always wanted to go though. My parents never took us into the city... and we're less than an hour away. I think that's why I go when I can now.

It really was fun... but if we paid for the tickets... I don't think we would have bought as many goodies.

With the free tickets it was fun to give in and buy (almost) everything Zoe asked for. We all had a good time too.

I definitely can see the Wiggles putting you over the top of the kid show quota. I don't know that I could even handle the Wiggles.
