My lilypie counter at the bottom of the screen tells me that Ana is 9 months 1 week and 3 days old today.
Today... Ana has a tooth!!!
Ok... it's not a whole tooth. It could be confused with a grain of sand stuck on her bottom gum. It's not even really enough to see when trying to look in the mouth of a squirming wiggling drooling 9 month old... so you're definitely not going to be seeing a picture of Ana's first tooth.
But it's there. I felt it. Multiple times.
Ana's first tooth.
***Just a point of interest... Zoe got her first tooth on 4/6/06. So Ana was born 10 days after Zoe's birthday... and she has her first tooth 14 days after the "birth" of Zoe's first tooth. It's interesting to compare those baby book dates.

Yay Ana! Nadia got her first tooth at three months - which was not a good thing for the nursing mama!

Woot! Congrats! Both my girls didn't get their first tooth until 8-9 months old either! But they say the longer it takes for them to get their teeth, the stronger and healthier their teeth will be. So yeah for strong teeth!

Awwwww! Congrats! Getting her first tooth is such a special moment - you are a great mommy to recognize that & celebrate it! :)
Thanks! Now the fun with food really begins!
With Zoe I was obsessive about filling in the baby book. Poor Ana is definitely getting shorted with her book... but I'm trying to at least get the big things.
heehee
Thanks!
With Zoe I told everyone that as soon as the first tooth came nursing was done. I think that's why she didn't get teeth until 9 months. I gave up nursing at 8 months... and then in popped that tooth. It's like she wasn't going to let teeth get in her way of the breast. heehee
I have heard that before. So far... the dentist is very happy with Zoe's teeth. Hopefully Ana will be so lucky too.
