Sisters

Zoe and Ana are becoming such sisters. I realize they have been sisters since the day Ana was born. And actually, we knew they were sisters from the moment Ana's ultrasound clearly showed us she was a girl. They have always been... and will always be... sisters.

But now? Now they are really starting to build that sister bond. That bond I've been watching over at Barely Controlled Chaos for about 2 years now. Zoe and Ana are getting that. Carrie has been telling me all about the sister relationship. I would see it and comment on it on her blog. Now... I'm watching it develop myself.

I'm sure in the future I will both love and curse the fact that I have 2 girls. But right now... I'm just loving it.

EEEEEeeee! And it only gets better, Colleen! I can attest to the fact after having a sister for 31 years...it really is one of the most special bonds ever. If one girl is good...two is definitely better!!

Our first three children are girls - and now at 15, 12, and 11, I can tell you that they are awesome to watch together. Last week I dropped them all off at the mall for a couple of hours, and when I picked them up they were sharing a ton of giggles and chatting about their day together. So special!

Guess I need to go to bed because your pics made me think of my daughter when she was little and how much I miss it (she is not 16) and I started to cry. I'm such a nerd. I guess she's right. :'(

It's mind boggling how much they've grown. There's nothing quite like watching that bond grow between siblings is there?
