SOOC Saturday - Big Ocean, Little Girl

Sometimes Ana seems so big to me.  She is big for her age.  1 year old and wearing 24 month clothes.  97th percentile all around.  My big little baby.

But next to the ocean... making her little footprints... and pointing out into the vastness... it just reminded me of how little she is.  Really... how little we all are.

Love this! There is nothing like standing on the beach and looking out into that vastness. I wonder what your little one was thinking.

Pictures at the beach have a certain majesty to them. The contrast of her little frame to the big water is terriffic!

I just tried to leave a comment, but I'm not sure it went through, so...in hoping this isn't a duplicate, I think the photo is so sweet and I love the footprints! Maybe we all need to go stand next to the ocean once in awhile. =)

This comment format seems to take a bit of getting used to. I'm not sure whether I actually like it or not.

Thank you for commenting though! I wish we could get to the ocean more often. The girls just love it.

She really is totally fearless. It's kind of scary... and has me totally focused on her. But... she's fun to watch. It's amazing to see her reactions to things.

Something about the photo just makes me stare at it. I think part of it is because even as they start to grow bigger and bigger the ocean makes them tiny.

Thanks for stopping and commenting. SOOC Saturday is fun... I look forward to seeing what you share!

I was always disappointed that commentluv wasn't compatible with blogspot. I'm happy with blogger... so I was THRILLED to see that I could do the commentluv links. It took a little work getting the JS-Kit/Echo html to work... and then to add the commentluv. Now it works... but I think I have to put up a little "how to" post so everyone knows what they have to do to get their link luv.

I love this shot for that exact reason. My 17month old is in 2T but when I took his picture standing next to the ocean he looked like my baby again.

GREAT PICTURE!!!

That's a great picture. I never seem to have a camera on hand for moments like that.

I was just stopping by to see if you ever got the comment form to work. Mine has been giving me the fits lately, especially since the outage the other day (the form completely disappears at times). I was wondering if you have had any problems.

Your CL seems to work better than mine. I don't think my URL line shows up half the time. :( Did you end up using the free version or Echo Live? Maybe I need to upgrade if it's live.

I did end up spending the $12 (?) on Echo Live. Not really what I wanted to do. I figured out that my js-kit was the version that was all over my template html... which was going to be evil to get rid of (at least for me to try it). BUT... I uploaded a new blog template and the js-kit disappeared since it wasn't in the new template widget html. I went to re-install the js-kit/echo and it just wouldn't work for me. I couldn't figure out where to find my code on their site... and I had a major issue with my js-kit login id not being connected to my admin. privileges. In the whole process of it it just ended up being worth it to (almost) start over. BUT... they didn't have the free version available.

I will probably jinx myself... but I have to say it does seem to be working smoothly. I read your post on the missing comment form and have been checking in more often just to see if mine is working... and I've never seen it missing. I did notice a few of my own comment replies were lost during the outage. And I can tell that some readers have trouble with the process of filling out the form since it often comes up as guest... or their post doesn't list with commentluv.

So... short version... the commenting system does seem to be working for me. I think it definitely helped to remove everything (js-kit/echo and commentluv) and then start fresh. (I did download the new updated version of commentluv too... did you do that?)

You absolutely will have to get to the ocean with her! It is such an experience to see their reaction to that big wide water.

AMadisonMom said...

I believe she was actually attempting to catch a seagull... so I'm sure her thoughts were on that bird and how she could fly over the water with it.
