Yicky

Yicky is the newest and most frequently used word in our house.

But.... yicky does not mean yicky.  It does not even mean yucky.

If you are Ana, and you come running into a room yelling "YICKY" it means "Hey, you there... my sippy cup is EMPTY.  More juice now please."

Yicky.  Empty.  Same difference right?

I will admit it took me quite a few days of tasting her apple juice and telling her "It's not yucky.  It tastes fine.  But, it's EMPTY... let me get you more."

I can already imagine her looking at me saying "Well duh Mom... that's what I said."

.

Ana is a total comedian without even knowing it. And... um... my wine glass is yicky. I'll have to fix that.

It's just so funny.... when they walk in so sure of what they are saying... and it takes all of your brain power to figure it out.

Ana has so many substitute words. It is sad when they leave them behind. It's funny now though... because Zoe picks up some of Ana's words. Like... everyone calls balloons "bab-yoons" now.

Hehe. Love it. yicky = empty. Makes just about as much sense as any other toddler-speak!

Nope no diffrence between those two words.

I love how the substitute words, my fave was Eilidh calling Rebecca "nana" . It took us weeks to work out and stuck around for a good year or so , i feel slightly sad when she calls her sister Becca now
