Grace in Small Things - 123
1. Photo albums.
2. A cookie press.
3. An old leftover message on the voice mail.
4. A string of pearls.
5. Daughters who laugh, and cry, and bicker, and hug, and giggle, and want to go swimming.
My dear Aunt Prudy... my Great Aunt... my Grandfather's sister... my God Mother... who was 85... who was healthy all her life... who was truly very special to me and to all who knew her... passed away this past Friday. July 22, 2011. I miss her greatly. I would post more... but I just can't right now.
It really is about the grace in small things right now.

so sorry to hear about your loss. sending you lots of love.
I hope you are feeling better and the bitterness by some in the family isn't causing you pain. Call me whenever you need to talk.
What a wonderful tribute. I am sorry for your loss. Isn't it amazing how children can keep us going? If it wasn't for Annabelle, I would have sat home and cried for three weeks when my grandma died.
Things have been going alright. Some things seem to be going smoothly. My mom just went back home today... so that was tough. Now it's just the job of getting back to life.
I would like to sit and write so much more... but I truly just can't without totally losing it.
The girls are definitely a big help. There is no choice but to keep going. Definitely very little time allowed to just sit and cry. There have been some moments... like this morning, where I just lost it when the girls were non-stop at each other. The finally straw was the screaming over a silly plastic wind up toy neither of them has looked at since Christmas. I completely broke down.
I have to say... going through photos has been a great help for me. I even found a really nice pic of the 2 of us at graduation. :)
Thank you. All of the comments are so heartwarming as they pop up in e-mail. :)
oh, my heart is breaking for you, colleen! thoughts and prayers with you and your sweet family while you remember your lovely aunt.
So very, very sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to you, my friend.
Thanks Maggie. We're getting by.
